Sometimes, an air of seriousness surrounds education and learning. Sometimes I classify school, grades, and even learning as work, or obligations that I am simply forced into by society. However, I've realized through the years that fun and work don't have to be separate; in learning, we can have some amazing experiences. There is still so much about the world that I don't know, but by viewing education optimistically and inquisitively, I know now that many of these unknown things are fascinating to behold. While some people can't see past formulas and paperwork in chemistry, through labs and experiments we can see that this knowledge to applicable to everything in our everyday lives. While I hear all the time about the "acid rain" in Shanghai, it was only recently in our chemistry lab that I understood what this acid really was, how it is formed in the atmosphere, and I even learned how to create it! Learning about our world is really an intriguing thing; as long as we can find passion in our learning, we can learn well, and become wiser people.
